Phi29 DNA polymerase is a thermophilic DNA polymerase cloned from the B. subtilis phage phi29. It has high processivity and strand displacement activity, allowing it to continuously synthesize DNA fragments up to 70kb, making it great for efficient isothermal DNA amplification with high fidelity. There are two types of phi29 DNA polymerase available—one heat-resistant and one highly active—both of which can be used for nucleic acid and gene testing.

Phi29 DNA polymerase is a thermophilic DNA polymerase cloned from the B. subtilis phage phi29. It has high processivity and strand displacement activity, allowing it to continuously synthesize DNA fragments up to 70 kb and achieve efficient isothermal DNA amplification. It also has a 3'-5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity that prefers single-stranded DNA or RNA, ensuring high fidelity in amplification reactions. It can be used for nucleic acid testing and gene detection.
Thermostable phi29 DNA polymerase is a mutant of phi29 DNA polymerase, with significantly improved thermal stability while retaining the advantages of the wild-type enzyme.
High-activity phi29 DNA polymerase is a specially engineered mutant of phi29 DNA polymerase with noticeably enhanced activity. Under the same conditions, the reaction speed, product yield, and amplification are significantly improved.
